We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Manager to join our team and manage the Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Wisconsin markets. The Field Sales Manager will be responsible for driving profitable growth within a defined geographic area. Leading a team of Field Sales professionals, this role focuses on increasing insurance policy production through effective business-to-business sales techniques. What does a FIELD SALES MANAGER do at GAINSCO? Ensure the team achieves defined daily, weekly, and monthly goals. Monitor and review contact notes, providing coaching and feedback. Maintain accurate documentation of activities within Salesforce. Manage agency contests and quarterly bonus programs. Review and discuss Agency Report Cards to manage costs effectively. Set goals for each agent and develop strategies and tactics to attain them. Ensure all agency information is updated in Salesforce. Conduct commission conversations with owners about production level requirements. Review commission statements. Achieve or exceed agency footprint targets and work with new agents to start writing. Manage assigned large partners and national accounts, creating solutions to maximize opportunities. Identify and execute sales strategies based on marketplace-specific information. Review and adjust actions to achieve goals based on available reports. Find resources and tools to appoint agents in desired areas. Manage low-hanging fruit, incline decline reports, and zero producers to change behavior. Lead the Sales Team and make recommendations for improvements. Represent Sales on company projects/new initiatives. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish goals and meet deadlines. Coach, counsel, and train direct reports on all relevant position requirements. Drive employee engagement by creating a positive work environment. Manage staff through appropriate disciplinary actions and firing, when needed, in collaboration with HR. Identify and manage team staffing needs and participate in recruitment activities. Manage the successful onboarding of new staff, providing support and training for smooth integration. Communicate organizational information appropriately and continually. Be responsible and accountable for all work products executed by the team. What is required? Education/ Certifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; in lieu of degree, CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) Insurance Designations required. Experience: Three or more years of successful sales leadership experience, preferably within the Insurance industry. Three or more years of working experience in Insurance Sales with demonstrated performance in achieving sales goals required. Experience working for an Auto insurance company required. Salesforce experience is preferred, with the ability to maximize the tool's performance, document activity and conversations, and to drive overall performance activities. Other skills and abilities: Ability to create Salesforce Reports and Dashboards for team leverage. Ability to represent Sales on specific projects and share input about project/program design. Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy, and a clear, courteous, and professional manner when dealing with clients. Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department. Ability to influence agents, large groups, and national accounts positively, resulting in increased territory production. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective sales, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to learn and promote products and services. Ability to develop rapport with agents, large groups, and national accounts. Ability to analyze product data and identify market trends. Strong strategic planning skills. Disciplined follow-up and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously. What else do you need to know? Remote Must have valid Driver License Willing to travel as required, role manages AR, MS, MO, and WI.
