Job Description MBI Health Services has an opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team at our Hunt location in the District of Columbia. Provides support to the Human Resources Department. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the Human Resource Department in greeting potential applicants using outstanding customer service skills. Assist the Human Resource Manager in the administration of the Pre-employment screening testing for HHA, LPN, RNs. Assure employment-related forms are copied and an adequate stock is maintained. Assist the Human Resources Manager in completing previous employment verification using the standardized agency form/tool. Compile required information for the Human Resource personnel file. Assist the Human Resources Manager in contacting staff for new hire orientation. Greet new employees during the new hire orientation. Update Human Resource spreadsheet to monitor compliance with state and federal regulations. File Human Resources documentation to assure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Staff. Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. Provide ongoing support for new hire orientation, including identification badges and follow-up on required documentation. Compile and update employee records (hard copies and Paycom/Payroll system). Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database. Qualifications: 2 years college or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Willingness to work with a team that provides outstanding health care. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience as an HR Assistant, Staff Assistant, or relevant human resources/administrative position. Fast computer typing skills (MS Office, in particular). Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS. Familiarity with ATS software and resume databases. Basic knowledge of labor laws. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
