This Senior Manager, IP Development (Total Rewards) position is integral to innovating work practices and intellectual property (IP) related to work and career architecture, pay and reward practices and organization design, including organization benchmarking, success profiles, and core content. Leveraging scientific research, data, and intellectual property, this role will also support the creation of new capabilities that add value to our clients and maintain our competitive advantage. Collaborating with other KFI professionals from diverse disciplines (including industrial/organizational, quantitative, and educational psychology; economics, neuroscience, and data science), this position will research, ideate, develop, improve, and validate relevant core content and IP. The position is also expected to support senior IP creators with innovation initiatives that modernize and future-proof our ability to develop IP in this area and achieve optimal organizational performance. KEY responsibilities/ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Senior Manager, IP Development (Total Rewards) is responsible for supporting the innovation of reward practices, work and career frameworks and organization design in support of all Korn Ferry solutions and relevant digital platforms, ensuring tight integration and connectivity of our IP in a way that is straightforward and intuitive. This may include creating new content and unique success profiles at the individual, team and/or organizational level, developing underlying content for jobs and/or organizations, aligning organization and individual success profiles, and developing core content and foundational IP appropriate for Korn Ferry’s digital platforms which enable further revenue growth. This role also supports the expansion of Korn Ferry IP through assisting with quantitative and qualitative research, including advancing the scalability and automation of our IP and related content development efforts. Supporting KFI to deliver innovative yet research-driven outcomes, enable various channels and promote Korn Ferry IP internally and in support of our clients is also expected in this role. KFI is a highly agile, matrixed organization with dozens of active projects and a subset of priority projects therefore it is expected that this role will develop into one of the members of KFI who will support multiple complex projects at one time. This may involve collaboration across the research, thought leadership, data analytics, IP, and measurement areas, and the projects may involve multiple cross-functional stakeholders. It is expected this role will: Support and/or lead projects to design and develop new and innovative IP in the work, career, and job architecture space, bridging traditional and more modern techniques. This may include: Quantitative and qualitative research to support the selection of new work typologies. Client usage data analysis for content/IP in our digital platforms to define and incorporate learning mechanisms that further automate updates to success profiles and other content. Research, data collection and analysis to explore the new, enhanced and/or augmented success profile content organizations need today, and in the future Market analysis to identify opportunities to optimize core IP and expand work measurement use cases. Organizational success profile research to inform the development of certain elements of the profile including how to close the gaps between high performing benchmarks and a client organization’s current state. Contribute to designing novel yet scalable ways of measuring job-related core content and IP. Contribute to refining KF’s reward, organization design and benchmarking practices and IP. Collaborate closely with other members of KFI focused on innovation, new developments, and technologies within relevant domain expertise. Provide subject matter expertise and scientific support for Korn Ferry solutions business development efforts and marquee accounts. Identify opportunities to enhance various existing IP to support a variety of organizational and talent applications including standardized and scalable practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, solution architects, business analysts, UX professionals, and quality assurance to build scalable systems, solutions, and outputs. Support communication and enablement efforts to ensure adoption of relevant IP including technical documentation and reports, and processes and practices to support appropriate use. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: Experience with reward practices, work measurement, career/talent architecture, executive recruitment and organization design, particularly in applied settings. Broad understanding of organizational strategy, talent management and career lifecycles. Knowledge of team and organizational outcomes, including financial performance metrics. Knowledge of individual compensation and/or key financial metrics, predictive outcomes research/longitudinal outcomes analysis, job analysis, surveys, validation research, and/or business outcome studies a plus. Internal or external consulting/professional services experience. High level of resilience with the ability to handle change requests and rapid project iterations. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to integrate data, insights, and information from multiple sources. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Balance of big picture thinking and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint (PowerBI, Access, SPSS and R a bonus). EDUCATION: Graduate degree in industrial/organizational psychology, economics, sociology, business, organizational research, psychometrics, and/or measurement or related field (Dual Master’s in Psychology or Sociology and Economics or Business is a strong plus); PhD a bonus.
