The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and servicing accounts in the assigned region and supporting other regions, as needed. The person coming into this role must live in the Mid-West Region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Schedules and makes regular sales calls on customers with and without manufacturers' representatives
- Manages a defined geographical territory
- Manages independent manufacturers' representatives within territory
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales & Marketing to establish sales goals and marketing plans for assigned territory
- Cultivates new customers as part of planned business development process
- Coordinates with inside sales team on sales quotations, open orders, repair orders, service requests, and maintenance training
- Performs valve repair, as needed
- Reports on expenses, sales calls, and sales plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to work with Contact Management System
- Bachelors degree or three or more years related experience
