GUIDE. GUARD. GO BEYOND.

Overview

Are you driven by a passion for making a difference in people's lives? You can be there to help all kinds of people when they need that help most.

That help will come in the form of you communicating through phone calls and emails with people who may have had an accident, been a victim of theft or had their property damaged in some way. You'll mostly be in communication with people and parties involved in different types of accidents.

As you can imagine, people phoning an insurance company after they've been involved in some kind of accident can be difficult. But never fear as you'll be on hand to walk them through the process with empathy and compassion.

How you'll make an impact

Internally you'll be known as a Resolution Associate. This is a hands-on training program, where you'll be learning through doing and with group learning sessions to support.

Of course, we'll provide you with all the expert training and mentorship you need and we'll fully fund all of your assigned licencing courses and exams.

You'll need to come prepared to learn. Throughout the program, you can earn pay increases as you achieve specific milestones and work toward becoming a program graduate and Gallagher Bassett claims professional.

While on the program and on a day-to-day basis, you'll:

  • Adjust Claims: Take calls and emails collecting details from the parties involved in an accident or loss to determine the best resolution strategy.
  • Investigate Claims: Learn to investigate claims thoroughly, gathering and analyzing information to help you make informed decisions.
  • Document Claims: Accurately document claim files and maintain thorough records.
  • Follow Procedures: Use our systems and follow established processes to make sure you're fully compliant.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Work with claimants and clients, effectively communicating where their claim is and what happens next.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Show the claimant you understand how they feel, and support them in any way you can during their claim process.

About You

You're positive, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and above all have a key focus on doing the right thing.

You're also:

  • Committed to learning, taking exams and making the most out of this opportunity
  • Able to work with all kinds of different people, building relationships as you go
  • Able to explain complex things in simple terms for anyone to understand
  • Client focussed, understanding client needs and delivering excellent customer service

As a minimum you'll need:

  • High School Diploma
  • State Licencing, within 30 days of your start date
    • We require all of our claim personnel who work with our clients to hold an insurance license in the state(s) in which they operate and serve. Requirements for obtaining a license differ by state. We will cover the costs for the assigned licensing course(s) and exam(s). You'll need to work with your supervisor to register for these. Successful passing of the state insurance exam must be completed within 30 days of the start date for you to continue employment in this role.
