Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

- Be part of a team responsible for the mechanical and piping design of stainless steel food manufacturing equipment for customer orders throughout the whole order process.

- Create 3D models in Autodesk Inventor.

- Create 2D drawings that will be used during internal/external manufacturing.

- Lead projects and drive activities to be on time and within budget.

- Assist sales with estimates for new quote activities as required.

- Perform and participate in design reviews with the engineering team to evaluate any new designs.

-Oversee and provide mentorship to junior engineers

Hard Skills

+ BSME

+ Inventor and/or Solidworks experience

+ Hygienic product design

+ Stainless steel or metal fabrication experience (piping)

+ Project management experience (cradle to grave)

+ USDA/3A regulatory experience (Food & Beverage)

Soft Skills

+ Mentorship and peer development

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Winsted, Minnesota and some days remote.

Work Environment

Hybrid schedule:

- 2 or 3 days in office

Travel:

- Occasional travel to MN to see through the product and make reviews/changes with the manufacturing group. Project dependent, usually a 2-3 day trip. Company rental included.
