Primary duty will be making sales calls and originating first Mortgage loan requests from new and existing members. Work Location

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters in Downtown Baltimore. Incumbent will be required to report in office for this role. Upon completion of 90 days, incumbent may work hybrid schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interviews and analyzes the credit history of applicants to determine their loan repayment. Negotiates credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications within Credit Union guidelines. Compliant with state and federal laws. Directs and implements business development activities, such as calling on members and realtors for loan prospects and participates in the credit union's outreach activities; local travel will be required as necessary. Ability to effectively manage workload and projects with competing deadlines, priorities, and demands. Work with partners such as real estate brokers, realtors, and builders to generate mortgage loan business. Expected to develop relationships and visit Credit Union branches on a regular basis. Requires travel within Baltimore City and Baltimore County Maryland. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance preferred. Equivalent job experience may be substituted. NMLS Licensing Required. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Mortgage Loan Originations. Knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA Guidelines and compliance requirements for loan programs. Extensive knowledge of mortgage processing fundamentals. Proven track records of outside sales. Ability to work effectively under specific time constraints. Must be able to work flexible hours as assigned. Demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills a must. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to be detail-oriented and deliver accurate work. Ability to work in a fast-paced member-focused environment. Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Planning and organizational skills. Ability to build a book of business and proactively seek ways to develop and expand customer relationships in order to contribute towards organizational success. Ability to report to work as scheduled, flexibility to deal with unexpected events, and occasionally attend meetings or events that may occur outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Based on business needs, duties may change from time to time. Work Location and Physical Demands:

This position is located at Corporate Headquarters. Employees in this role may apply for a hybrid work schedule after the successful completion of their 90-day conditional period. Approval is subject to performance, department needs, organizational resources, and manager’s discretion. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the successful candidate is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, keyboards, or controls; talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or kneel. Must regularly lift and/or move files and equipment up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 25-pound objects.
