**Job Summary**

We are looking for a stellar **Platform Engineer** . As a member of the team, youll work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.

**_Candidate's Note:_** **This role is 100% remote. We are looking for candidates only in the United States.**

**What your impact will be:**

+ Designing and developing platform technology for our next generation management software in our hybrid & multi-cloud management team

+ Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development and test systems

+ Monitoring and improving the performance and usability of existing tools and environments

+ Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems

**What you will bring** :

+ 3-5 years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, OpenShift

+ 3-5 years of experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud

+ 3-5 years of experience in Terraform

+ Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures

+ Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment

+ Experience developing, automating, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team

+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills

**What will give you an edge** :

+ Experience with NIST SSDF requirements

+ Build and operate systems in audited environments (e.g., SOC2, PCI, FedRAMP)

+ Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes

+ In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies

+ In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies

+ Experience working within a you build it, you own it culture
