Overview:

The HR Coordinator will provide a vareity of administraive functions within the HR Team. This position will also assist with organizing interviews, interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees into the organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Serves as one of the primary contacts for team members to answer questions while maintaining good working relationships and building credibility of the team.
  • Assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the HR team
  • Assists in the hiring and onboarding of new employees, including scheduling and conducting interviews, coordinating pre-employment screenings, processing new hire paperwork, scheduling onboarding activities, and conducting new hire orientation.
  • Creates and maintains key employment files and records; enters information into the HRIS related to hiring, employee data changes, and terminations.
  • Contributes to employee engagement efforts by assisting with planning and coordinating company and community events.
  • Creates and maintains purchase orders and purchase requisitions for the Manufacturing HR team.
  • Manages the attendance program and daily call-ins.
  • Identifies and leads opportunities to streamline processes that reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned by manufacturing leaders and HR Lead


Qualifications:

Knowledge/Experience/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required, Associates degree or pursuing degree in HR or Business preferred.
  • Prior experience in HR or an administrative capacity is preffered.
  • Experience using an HRIS system is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong Microsoft Suite capabilities, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Access.
  • Highly organized and demonstrated ability to handle fast-paced environment and multiple priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with exceptional customer service skills and a high degree of professionalism required.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with discretion.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
