SSI is seeking a Spacecraft Systems Engineerto support a very dynamic and innovative space program in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. In this role, you will provide Systems Engineering & Acquisition support to critical programs.

Specific Duties Include:

    • Provide proactive support to the Government customer and tasks in an integrated office environment
    • Participate in full lifecycle acquisition and Systems Engineering activities from pre-acquisition through launch and on-orbit checkout
    • Develop productive relationships with Contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other subject matter experts
    • Author, review, and coordinate documents, briefings, and data to aid the Government in communications and decision-making
    • Participate and represent the customer in various Government and contractor meetings and attend contractor reviews to provide technical and programmatic-based system recommendations and risk assessments
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute SE-related forums and meetings within the Customer office and Enterprise
    • Interface and coordinate with other organizations in the Enterprise to support Enterprise integration, events, and reviews
Required Qualifications:
    • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
    • Bachelor's and 5 years related experience; Masters and 3 years related experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
    • Proficient at program/project management within the customer organization
    • Available to travel domestically
Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with NRO satellite systems
