The Opportunity

H-Wave is seeking a Patient Advocate Associate who has a background in customer service. This person is proactive, thinks ahead, is driven, reacts quickly, and has a demonstrated history of persistence in influencing others. A day in the life of an H-Wave Patient Advocate Associate consists of seeking and obtaining authorizations while educating and building relationships with Insurance Adjusters and Nurse Case Managers.

The Job
  • Contact Insurance Adjusters and Nurse Case Managers (Payors) to request authorization for prescribed treatment
  • Educate adjusters and Nurse Case Managers on the benefits and programs
  • Identify proactive approaches (this could be through patient or attorney contact) to determine patient eligibility and advocate on the patient's behalf
  • Delivers excellent customer service and meets the needs of all our customers while executing high volumes of calls
  • Maintains knowledge of medical and legal terminology applicable to vertical markets for worker's comp and auto claims authorizations
  • Develops and cultivates strong relationships internally and externally

Requirements
  • One or more years of customer service experience, medical industry experience is a plus
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with web applications and databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle pressure


Salary Description

$22.00 - $23.00 / hourly
