The Director of IT Operations is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT operations, including banking operations, network infrastructure, data center operations, disaster recovery, and user support. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and reliable delivery of technology services to our members and employees, while also driving continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department. Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work, required. Minimum 10 years of experience in IT operations management, preferably in a financial services or other highly regulated setting. Proven track record of success in leading and motivating teams in an IT setting under heavy regulation. Strong understanding of network infrastructure, security, and disaster recovery. Hands-on experience with Azure, Exchange, Entra/Active Directory, Microsoft/Office 365, VMWare are required. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Experience working in a highly regulated environment (banking, Department of Defense, health care, etc.) is required. Familiarity with credit union/banking operations, FFIEC, and NCUA regulations is a plus. Certifications in VMWare, Windows Administration, Cisco Networking, Cisco Telephony, Azure, Cyber Security, or common IT certifications (CISSP, Security+, CCNA, ITIL, etc.) are a plus. Requirements

Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including IT banking operations, system administrators, and help desk technicians. Develop and implement IT operations approaches and procedures aligned with the credit union’s business goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee the maintenance and optimization of the IT infrastructure at the headquarters and disaster recovery locations, including network equipment, servers, storage, and cloud services (Azure). Oversee core banking operations (Fiserv DNA) and complete Fiserv DNA training within the first year. Manage the credit union’s VM farm at the headquarters and disaster recovery locations. Manage the credit union’s voice systems, including call tree, voice mail, and end user phones. Direct and recommend security/architecture changes to the credit union’s Azure tenant to support and optimize IT operations. Plan and exercise disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Oversee IT asset and patching to assure a regulatory required level of cybersecurity. Implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide technical guidance and support to other departments within the credit union. Ensure compliance with all relevant IT regulations and standards. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the IT department. Keep up with the latest industry info, advocacy updates, member spotlights and upcoming events.
