Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities:

Aireon is growing and we are looking for a Human Resources Coordinator who is local to the DC, MD, VA (DMV) area to join our Human Resources team to help us grow even faster. This position is hybrid and reports to the Sr. Director of Human Resources. In this role, you will help organize, coordinate, and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the HR department with matters relating to employment, compensation and benefits, performance, and employee relations.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain employee records and data in the HRIS
  • Onboard new hires and coordinate new hire orientation
  • Assist with performance management procedures
  • Generate and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
  • Help plan and coordinate company events
  • Assist in administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Support additional ad hoc HR projects


Experience & Education Requirements / EEO:

Required Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Desired Qualifications

  • Human Resources certification a plus, PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.
  • Experience using Workday, ADP WorkforceNow and iCIMS a plus
  • Bachelors Degree in HR or related field
