Special Event Coordinator

Position: Special Events Coordinator
Location: Remote
Duration: 7 month contract
Hours: Part-time, 20 hours a week (flexible on days and hours)
Pay: $34.00/hr
Duties
Support planning and execution of customer events:
• Develop and execute planning and logistics for signature Managed Customer Events
• Manage Event project plans and timelines to keep Event taskforce members organized and on task to ensure timely execution of event, including but not limited to collateral development, communications, Customer RSVPs, and event agenda activities.
• Manage event logistics including agenda, transportation, meals, accommodation and flights, in partnership with team Administrative Assistant
• Develop regional leader and property level communications related to projects

• Highly organized with attention to detail and strong project management experience, with the agility to meet deadlines and the flexibility to prioritize/reprioritize as needed
• Design-eye for building engaging training hub design
• Strong problem-solving skills to proactively identify unique and innovative, yet practical solutions
• Ability to effectively keep busy high-tenured individuals on task to their responsibilities related to projects in light of their other job commitments
Minimum requirements
• 2+ years of professional experience managing multiple large projects
• 2+ years of experience planning and executing customer events
• 2+ years of experience in Project Management, Learning & Development, or similar roles that required navigating and change managing cross-functional projects and programs within a matrixed environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel
• Ability to contribute 20 hours per week to role responsibilities
Nice to have
• Working knowledge of the key commercial functions in hospitality (Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, and Catering & Events)
• Property-level commercial experience
