GENERAL SUMMARY Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and communities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and implement Front Porches strategic plan to ensure all employees and residents have a safe and healthful environment. Proactively perform environmental, health and safety assessments to identify areas of potential concern and create plans for immediate mitigation. Design and implement plans that promote a healthful environment and reduce safety concerns, updating as necessary. Ensure that Front Porch complies with all appropriate regulations from relevant regulatory agencies. Design and/or perform Home Office and Community safety training sessions for employees and residents. Ensure completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting. Provide analysis of key performance indicators for management, including the identification of trends, recommendations, and strategies for Environmental Health and Safety programs. Manage the performance of, and document, accident investigations, providing solutions to Home Office and Community leadership. Manage the training and development of safety leaders at Corporate and the Communities. Meet with and evaluate technical information from material suppliers and service contractors. Perform all other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION Required/Preferred Education Level Major/Area of Study And/Or Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education and experience. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health/Safety. EXPERIENCE Required/Preferred Minimum Experience Required: 7 years in progressively greater responsibilities in the Environmental Health & Safety area. Preferred: 2 years in Environmental Health & Safety in an organization with Community based residential living arrangements. JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES Communication/Interpersonal: Effective written communication skills as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations; live, via online or virtual mediums. Excellent collaboration and team building skills. Effective conflict management skills. Ability to build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders. Decision Making/Organization Skills: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Office work environment with no unusual physical requirements. Travel to Communities and other Front Porch offices as needed. Productivity: Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to define, develop, and analyze performance measures and metrics. Project Management: Demonstrated project management skills.
