Job Title: Associate Financial Analyst

Location: Charleston, SC

Type: Full-time, onsite

Overview: As an Associate Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving corporate strategy and optimizing financial performance for our leading residential housing company operating in the vibrant US Southeast and Midwest regions. You will lead a talented team of financial analysts and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine financial models, forecasts, and analyses to support strategic initiatives, including market expansion, product development, and operational optimization. Partner with senior leadership to develop and refine corporate strategy, leveraging financial analysis to identify growth opportunities, mitigate risks, and optimize business performance. Conduct comprehensive financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making, and quarterly forecasts aligned with corporate objectives and market dynamics. Participate in the annual strategic planning process, facilitating discussions on market trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities to inform strategic priorities. Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and analysis processes, leveraging automation and data visualization tools to enhance efficiency and scalability. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as leasing, operations, acquisitions, and marketing to develop key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and dashboards to monitor business performance and drive accountability. Provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations to senior leadership based on financial insights, industry trends, and competitive benchmarks to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and shareholder value creation. Support M&A activities, including due diligence, financial modeling, synergy analysis, and integration planning, to evaluate potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA, CFA or CPA preferred. 2+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, management or strategic consulting roles, or related roles with a track record of driving strategic initiatives and delivering actionable insights in a dynamic environment. Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and valuation methodologies, with proficiency in Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Anaplan). Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex financial data into strategic recommendations and actionable insights for senior leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and mentor a high-performing team in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. Prior experience in the real estate, housing, or construction industry is a plus, but not required.
