To be set up for success you'll need excellent communication skills, technical expertise with various water treatment products and chemicals, sound project management capabilities and a good understanding of the customer systems where our
technologies are deployed.

This position will be located in the Greater Houston/Lake Charles/Port Arthur area of Texas.

More about the role:
Some additional responsibilities for the Product Application Expert role include:

  • Assisting the CMS Commercial and Technical teams with technical guidance, product selection, operating guidelines and key performance indicators to ensure successful applications for our customers and prospects
  • Supporting site audits and customer visits as needed
  • Developing technical guidelines, best practices and case studies for internal and external use
  • Working with Product Management and Technology teams to lead specific new product introductions and support customer product optimizations through field trials
  • Representing Veolia WTS as a subject matter expert through participation in conferences, contributing to industry group committees and through publication of articles or papers on relevant topics and focus areas
  • Contributing to the development of internal technical knowledge through team training, workshops and development of internal tools
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in either a Sciences field or in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical) from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 8 years of experience (commercial or technical) role from relevant supplier and/or customer perspective, preference for 10 years or greater
  • Deep domain knowledge of industrial water and wastewater systems and processes, specifically in hydrocarbon processing, refining or petrochemical industries
  • Strong computer skills including data analysis with spreadsheets, written documents, and presentations
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Useful Skills &Abilities:

  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America, as needed to support business activities such as conferences, site audits, customer presentations and field support
  • Understanding of Veolia WTS products and services in the water & wastewater product line or equivalent competitive platforms
  • Self-motivated and has demonstrated the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, accomplish goals and handle multiple and detail-oriented tasks
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong working knowledge of problem solving, root cause analysis, and associated solution implementation
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization coordinating between multiple functions such as technology, sourcing, product management and commercial to help solve our customers most difficult water treatment challenges
  • Experience in ideation and new product introductions to meet specific needs across our target markets including technical qualification, commercial strategy, and marketing launch efforts
