We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team for a 3-4 month contract. This exciting role will provide you the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in the manufacturing industry, where you will be deeply involved in the mechanical design process, from concept to production. You will be working with a cross-functional team of engineers and other professionals, utilizing your expertise to bring innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.

1. Provide expert mechanical design solutions for various manufacturing projects, ensuring that designs meet the functional and performance requirements.
2. Utilize advanced engineering tools such as MTBF, FMEA, SolidWorks, and GD&T to develop and evaluate design concepts.
3. Lead failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks in the design process and propose effective mitigation strategies.

9. Document all design processes, decisions, and evaluations, ensuring that all information is accurately recorded and easily accessible for future reference.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in using engineering design and simulation tools such as SolidWorks.
4. Extensive experience with MTBF, FMEA, GD&T, and other relevant methodologies.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues in the design process.
6. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
8. Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements relating to mechanical design.
9. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work under pressure.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
