Job Description:

In Accounting at COhatch, you will play an integral role in supporting our finance department's daily operations. You will assist in maintaining precise financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for career advancement within the dynamic field of finance and accounting. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets, including invoices, expenses, and payroll information. Balance Sheet review and quality assurance: Produce external facing balance sheets for all of our entities, and the group consolidated balance sheet. At the group level create the appropriate elimination in the group to not overstate assets and liabilities. Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, identify discrepancies, and promptly resolve any issues. Expense Reporting: Support the review and processing of employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies. Record Maintenance: Maintain well-organized and up-to-date financial records and documents in both physical and digital formats. Assist with Month-end and Year-end Closing: Aid the finance team during month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations. Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and internal policies and assist in financial audits as needed. Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake various ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required to support the finance department and the overall organization. 9. Project Development financial support: including drawing loan funds from Banks, Landlords, and any other source of capital funding. Tracking movements in sources and uses of development funds. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. CPA cert is a plus. 1-2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite) Strong attention to detail and precision. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Familiarity with accounting principles and regulations. Past experience with construction or real estate development is a plus.
