As a Mortgage Fulfilment Specialist, you will be tasked with evaluating client-provided documents to ensure they meet the criteria set by lenders. Your role will involve collaborating with clients to ensure regulatory compliance and conducting document reviews to prevent fraud. You will support Underwriters, Mortgage Officers, and maintain communication with the Principal Broker, Brokers, and Agents. Your responsibilities will include streamlining client processes by utilizing solicitors portals for document uploads, ID verification, and other necessary paperwork. Additionally, you will assist in managing our CRM, setting up renewal and anniversary reminders upon file closings, and for other notes. Being proficient with technology and the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a PC-based environment using multiple software platforms Qualify the customer needs Close mortgage loans with borrowers Speak to borrowers and explain the differences between mortgage loan options. Research mortgage rates and determine the best rate for borrowers. Discuss with prospective borrowers, and the agents in order to identify their needs and financial goals. Explain the loan process to prospective borrowers. Work directly with clients to obtain a new mortgage, refinance an existing loan, or obtain a second mortgage, HELOC etc. Must Have Qualifications: Licence/Certification: FSRA Mortgage Agent License- Agent Level 1 , 2, or Broker Licence. 3+ years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriter, preferably within a Brokerage. Previous experience in mortgage underwriting with a private lender, Bank, or Alt-A/B lender preferred. Solid understanding of mortgage lending practices, regulations, and underwriting principles. Effective communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders, lenders, agents, principal broker. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. as well as updating CRM Portals. Proficiency in data analysis using relevant software tools, Finmo, Filogix, CRM, Excel etc. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents. Valid work permit forCanada A snapshot of a typical week: Provide advice and solutions to clients to meet their individual needs, and update Agents/Brokers/Clients. Complete and assess mortgage applications, perform credit checks, searches, and other related underwriting requirements Ensure mortgage applications meet compliance requirements and adhere to lender policies and guidelines Perform due diligence on all underwriting-related documentation Prepare Signature and Compliance packages Correspond with clients' lawyers and appraisers to ensure efficient workflow to coincide with closing dates Stay up to date with the processing requirements and ensure loan submission follows the required steps and processes Collaborate and build relationships with lenders, brokers, and agents within brokerage.
