PACT MSO is a Management Service Organization that supports numerous physician groups. We offer health benefits, paid time off, and a friendly working environment. We are a medium-sized company with a family atmosphere. PACT MSO has a busy Kidney Medical Office seeking a Front Office Associate. The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with some overtime expected. The position will float between office locations in Orange, Branford, North Haven, West Haven, and Fairfield as needed. The position works in the front and/or back office of the medical practice. The job responsibilities are administrative and may include some or all listed below. The incumbent may be in one location where they are responsible for all aspects of the patient experience or just one aspect. Essential Functions Greet incoming patients, visitors, vendors, etc. to the office with a friendly, professional demeanor. Completely and accurately register and check in patients by following a standard operating procedure. Schedule and confirm patients' appointments. Check out patients completing all necessary steps in the check-out standard operating procedure. Collect proper co-pay, payments on balances, walk-in payments and process appropriately. Open and close batch daily for deposit. Accurately scan and index documents and reports into patients’ charts in the EHR system. Review all provider orders for completeness and obtain clarification on incomplete or questionable orders. Test/procedure preparations. Promptly and professionally answer telephone calls. Route the calls to the appropriate person or offer to take a message. Document messages in the patient chart or other electronic manner as specified by type of call. Collect pertinent information and required documents from patients prior to appointments. Explain financial requirements to the patients and collect copays as required. Manage the transfer of the phone system to and from the answering service, as well as resolve non-urgent after-hours messages. Perform other assignments and special projects. Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of computers and EHR software. Epic experience required. Excellent organizational skills.
