M-F 8am - 5pm $25-$35 hour DOE The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for supporting management level staff within the HR Department and companywide identifying and developing policies and procedures as they apply to HR. They will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs such as medical, dental, life, disability and 401(k) plans. The HR Generalist will oversee all employee documentation, including contractual agreements, recruitment paperwork and compliance. They are responsible for the development and use of the HRIS system; ensuring full compliance of system data and schedules/facilitates auditing as needed for legal as well as state/federal compliance. Responsibilities are not limited to but will include policy and procedure identification and development, document management, recruitment, disciplinary protocols, HR reporting, and regulatory training compliance. Essential Functions: Ensures that regular and consistent communication takes place with both internal and external customers; acknowledges and addresses requests received via phone, email or company systems daily. Manages own time and resources to achieve identified objectives; is diligent in meeting all communicated/defined deadlines. Monitors and updates tickets/tasks/activities assigned to them in company CRM. Responsible for communicating and presenting to management employee benefit plans and providers. Monitors current benefits, evaluating the use, services, coverage, effectiveness, and costs. Facilitates the implementation of any new benefits programs, open enrollment and/or qualifying events for employees, ensures that all employees receive adequate notification and communication as needed. Coordinates daily benefits processing, facilitating any COBRA, disability, and LOA benefits to be provided to applicable employees. Serves as a benefits program point of contact, assisting employees in navigating their benefits and expected coverage of services. Manages compliance with all applicable government regulations as it applies to the wellbeing of each employee, oversees the management of health/security screenings, and the creating and compliance of all safety programs and learning. Identifies, documents, and maintains all policy and procedures for benefit administration. Ensures that all programs being offered have updated forms and workflows that can be followed by supporting team members. Assists in the design, development and updating of all Human Resource documentation (handbooks, forms, policies, etc.). Ensures management is kept informed and updated on anything that may be impacting company operations and employees. Assists and directs disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations, as well as addresses all employee grievances. Develops, oversees and maintains the optimal functions of the HRIS, which may include installation, setup, customization, maintenance, and upgrades. Provides support and guidance to HRIS users as well as manages any needed permissions and settings for users. Triages job requisitions as received, actively recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates closely with Division/Department Managers to understand job roles and duties to short list qualified candidates. Enters accurate time daily on timesheet, providing a real-time budget visual to company management. Supports all other roles within the HR Department as well as may be required to provide phone coverage to the Front Desk (as needed). Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings, and seminars as assigned for the purpose of performing job duties. Any additional duties as assigned. Punctuality and regular attendance. Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily.
