Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Ultimate Staffing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and driving business growth through effective talent management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on HR-related matters, including recruitment, employee relations, and benefits administration.
  • Manage the HR budget, including employee recognition and benefits administration.
  • Investigate allegations of discrimination, harassment, and employee relations, and provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Partner with the VP of Compliance to develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Monitor and report on OSHA-required data and reports, including Form 300 logs and postings.
  • Manage employee communication and feedback through various channels, including employee communication memos, paycheck attachments, employee satisfaction surveys, exit surveys, and employee meetings.
  • Lead HR compliance with all existing government reporting requirements, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, and OSHA.
  • Ensure Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, including 1094/1095C reporting and L226J letters.
  • Monitor state and city ordinances of sick time and minimum wage to ensure company compliance.
  • Attend HR seminars and continuing education to stay up-to-date on changing legislation.
  • Attend Manager Meetings to cover HR changes, training, and upcoming law changes.
  • Manage the 401(k) Plan Administrator, including census generation, annual audit, and file 5500.
  • Coordinate company training for all employees, including AB 1825 (Harassment) and AB 2053 (Abusive Conduct).
  • Prepare and maintain reports as necessary to carry out the functions of the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
  • Human Resources experience in retail is preferred.
  • Serves as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team.
  • Effective communicator, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and develop HR department staff members.
  • Excellent organizational management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection.
  • Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resources Management.
