Description
SUMMARY: This Accountant I position will specialize in Member Billing and is responsible for overseeing the billing activities related to all clubhouse, Athletics, and Child Development Center (CDC) members. This includes registrations, refunds, credits, scholarships, agency billing, and Military Youth Outreach (MYO) billing. The position will play an active part in the Finance Team's work during the organization's annual financial audit process. The ideal candidate for this position will support the organization's long-term sustainability by displaying attention to detail in the accounting cycle and ensuring transparent, proactive engagement with employees, vendors, and stakeholders while completing financial operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Invoice and set up recurring billing for members
- Issue refunds and apply credits
- Apply scholarships when they are awarded
- Compile and submit agency billings
- Track childcare authorizations
- Receive and submit MYO forms
- Reconcile payments and registrations in MyClubHub
- Take part in the annual audit process as assigned, including compiling and reviewing member billing audit test selections
- Maintain proactive and professional customer service within the organization and with customers, vendors, and community partners
- Create and maintain policies and procedures in assigned areas of responsibility
- Maintain technology, tools, and equipment, including utilizing relevant training
- Ensure department and document security through appropriate confidentiality and access control practices
- Work as part of a team to implement initiatives and annual departmental strategic plans
- Provide input on strategic planning as requested
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

- A minimum of two years bookkeeping, accounting, and office management experience required
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Suite, web-based registration and communication platforms, and Excel skills including using formulas and pivot tables for reconciliation and recording purposes
- Experience with Salesforce a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to achieve and maintain first aid and CPR certification
- Must pass a name-based and fingerprint criminal records background check

Salary Description
$21.00 - $24.00 per hour DOE/Q
