Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Staff I to join our team at RurAL CAP. As a key member of our supportive housing team, you will provide general supervision of residents in a supportive housing setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the safety of residents, facility, and grounds
  • Assess crisis situations and provide First Aid/CPR as necessary
  • Build rapport and engage with residents to promote positive interactions
  • Perform light office duties and general maintenance of office areas and storage spaces
  • Make regular rounds to ensure residents, facility, and grounds are safe and secure
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Basic level of computer skills necessary to use and create documents, use spreadsheets, collect and enter information into database, and compose email messages
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • State and federal background checks, including fingerprints, may be required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid driver's License and maintain a valid driver's license throughout the course of employment
  • Knowledge of working with persons with substance abuse, homelessness, mental health, with six (6) months actual and/or direct experiences
