Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the central sterile supply unit.Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Collect and report on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement.Work collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment.Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system.Monitor quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities.Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration:Required Credential(s):One or more of the following:Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the InternationalAssociation of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) obtained within 12 Months (1year) of hire date or job transfer date.Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Boardfor Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date orjob transfer dateEducation:High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.Additional Preferences Sterile Processing experience required.Leadership experience required.Oversight of 3 sites.
