Reads and follows technique card assembly instructions, which describe numerous unique assembly steps of a complex nature; plans the methods for completing a given assignment and selects among alternative assembly methods.2. AssemblyObjective: to accurately assemble complex multi-component patterns to maintain dimensional integrity.Typical Activities:A. Assembles complex multi-component patterns by means of torch, hot pencils, and a variety of hand tools.B. Assembles complex patterns using full-time dimensional fixturing to maintain dimensional control and stability.C. Manipulates fixture/pattern components to remove configuration discrepancies and verify dimensional integrity.D. Possibly develops code sheets for engineering-requested modifications or deviations to standard assemblies.E. Inspects assemblies during and after the assembly process to detect defects and ensure quality.ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:1. Ability to apply pattern assembly techniques, methods, materials, fixturing and construction.2. Experience assembling wax patterns and/or pattern finishing is preferred or the equivalent experience.3. Ability to communicate and work effectively with others.4. Ability to work in a team environment and promote team development.5. Ability to read and follow complex written instructions.6. Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred twenty five pounds with assistance.7.
