Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Pattern Assembler to join our team at Precision Castparts Corp. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling complex segmented patterns in a dimensionally controlled fixture in preparation for the gating process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Assembly Preparation
    • Inspect pattern components and dimensional fixture prior to loading
  • Assembly
    • Assemble complex multi-component patterns by means of torch, hot pencils, and a variety of hand tools
    • Assemble complex patterns using full-time dimensional fixturing to maintain dimensional control and stability
    • Manipulate fixture/pattern components to remove configuration discrepancies and verify dimensional integrity
    • Develop code sheets for engineering-requested modifications or deviations to standard assemblies
    • Inspect assemblies during and after the assembly process to detect defects and ensure quality
  • Qualifications
    • Ability to apply pattern assembly techniques, methods, materials, fixturing, and construction
    • Experience assembling wax patterns and/or pattern finishing is preferred or the equivalent experience
    • Ability to communicate and work effectively with others
    • Ability to work in a team environment and promote team development
    • Ability to read and follow complex written instructions
    • Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred twenty five pounds with assistance
    • Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, fumes, crowding, awkward physical positions, abrasions, cuts, and chemicals
