We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive our company forward, and help us lead the clean energy revolution This role will report to the Senior Director of Delivery, and will work primarily on North American Client accounts. How you will make an impact: Join our Delivery team, which is a fast paced, results-oriented, hands-on group focusing on delivering end-to-end business and technical solutions to Uplight’s clients and partners. The TPM is a project leader and truly cross-functional. You will be working closely with our clients and partners to help ensure that each project scope is successfully delivered, in a timely manner - ensuring customers are able to actualize the full value of their solution. Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product, Account Management, and Support to deliver and advocate for our customers. Proficient in managing the project scope, tracking progress, identifying and managing risks, maintaining an accurate schedule, and effectively communicating with clients and be able to escalate both internally and externally. This role requires someone who is extremely well organized and able to understand technical concepts then distill them into easy to digestible format for customers. Technical Project Managers must develop a good understanding of Uplight products and solutions in order to effectively deliver value for clients. What you bring to Uplight: 5 years of Project / Program Management with leadership experience including 3 or more years leading complex SaaS projects. Exceptional project management skills; experience delivering projects for electric utilities, Energy As a Service providers. Proven track record of leading and implementing large scale projects with detailed reporting requirements. Strong electricity industry knowledge is expected; knowledge of demand response, stationary battery storage, electric vehicles and/or virtual power plants is a plus. Understanding of various IOT/asset communication protocols such as APIs, KAFKA message bus, and SCADA. Outstanding communication skills appropriate for C-suite audiences; ability to track and report on key project metrics, relationship to business objectives, and other success criteria in a clear and compelling manner. Experience driving cross-functional product and engineering teams and collaborating with external partners. BS/MS/PhD in engineering/science or equivalent work experience.
