We are currently seeking experienced Permitting Specialists for a leading West Coast based Client.

Ideal candidates should be detailed oriented be able to research state and local permit requirements, able to interpret and apply permit regulations, research and solve complex problems, extensive experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure permit approval.

We are looking for candidates with critical thinking skills, excellent computer skills; MS Office, Excel Vlookup etc.

This role involves preparing and submitting permit applications, securing entitlements, managing joint-use programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and policies.

The individual will interface with various authorities, maintain tracking systems, manage records, and support financial and vendor management tasks.

Assist with all aspects of preparing and submitting permits.

Secure entitlements for installations in public rights of way, utility easements, and private property.

Engage with municipal, county, and state authorities to obtain necessary approvals.

Review pole attachment requests with the Engineering team for approval and facilitate execution plans.

Maintain and update tracking systems accurately, including third-party management systems.

Develop and maintain accurate, complete project and program files.

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, policies, and procedures for the joint-use program.

Create and maintain joint-use records, including inspections, permitting, billings, code compliance verification, and joint-pole attachment agreements.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers to foster positive joint-use cooperation and collaboration.

Maintain databases and client interface modules by analyzing, processing, manipulating, and accurately recording extensive amounts of data, including technical information.

Communicate, coordinate, and follow up with Engineering and Operations personnel to identify the need for joint-use notifications.

Requirements

Strong ability to communicate effectively.

Customer-focused and results-driven approach.

Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

By merging these responsibilities and skills, the role encapsulates a comprehensive support function, ensuring efficient project coordination and compliance with both internal and external requirements.
