We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Performance Manager in CTO Global Portfolio and Accumulation Steering (m/f/d), based in Munich. Your Team Our team is driving the implementation of a data driven cross-LoB portfolio steering framework across AZ Commercial that is regularly adjusted to reflect recent developments. Collaboration is key to us both in our interactions with the product owners to optimize our profitability as well as within our team. We are an international and diverse team located in Munich and Bucharest supporting each other. The Impact You Will Have Reporting to the Head of Strategic Portfolio Steering and Monitoring you will focus on portfolio management at various levels of Allianz Commercial underwriting operations, from portfolio to segment to client and account level. You will work in close cooperation with the lines of business management to ensure that portfolios develop into the desired direction and that planned underwriting actions are translated into reality to ensure increased and sustainable profitability. Further focus is put on the development of steering concepts that support the Allianz Commercial underwriting strategy discussions and optimal portfolio composition. This will embrace pricing and capacity strategies at segment level as well as gaining insights of market trends and finding approaches to manage through the insurance market cycle. Some of your specific responsibilities could include: Manage & drive forward own area of responsibility incl. projects regarding portfolio steering and portfolio analytics Drive implementation of CUO/CTO portfolio steering incl. cycle management framework with focus on execution steering of pricing strategy, capacity strategy, portfolio strategy and target portfolio mix incl. the strategic LoB SD and PD processes Proactively lead discussion in quarterly portfolio steering management meetings by preparing concise summaries and moderating exchange Proactively analyze portfolio performance incl. market trends (with focus on price, capacity, claims) for assigned LoBs and outline clear warning signals as input for CUO and Allianz Commercial global portfolio strategy to optimize the LoB and Allianz Commercial portfolio mix and profitability over the cycle Lead portfolio analytics processes incl. top management reporting as assigned to ensure transparency and alignment of stakeholders incl. ad hoc requests Drive action steering processes for assigned LoBs by working together with the CUO LoB colleagues to support the implementation and translation of the Underwriting strategy into specific underwriting actions incl. monitoring, with impact to pricing, volatility management and optimal portfolio composition Lead development and maintenance of portfolio analytics and steering tools (e.g. Foundry based Apps) together with other teams (PI, Data Office) to allow for globally consistent portfolio performance steering based on Live data across the organization and bring technical excellence to the frontline Foster best practice sharing of portfolio management approaches across all product groups Peer review work from other team members. Be a mentor to junior team members and drive portfolio management trainings What You’ll Bring to the Role Master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, science, or engineering Strong analytical, numerical, and adaptive problem-solving skills, using logical and methodological approach Deep knowledge of insurance industry experience incl. technical UW and/or actuarial experience and spanning multiple areas Ability to express ideas and messages clearly in respect to the audience / level of management, both written and verbally. Ability to “sell” an improvised or prepared audience a winning story Successful track record of leadership of direct teams or complex matrix environments, strong project management experience Relevant experience of working internationally with strong ability for cross border adaption Willingness and ability to effectively work with various team members when gathering requirements, delivering solutions, and eliciting suggestions and feedback Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to consistently revise approach in response to new information Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications What’s in it for you?
