Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for aCommercial Insurance Account Manager for our St. Petersburg, FL office.We are looking for a knowledgeable and motivated insurance professional who can provide exceptional service to our commercial clients, while enjoying a collaborative culture and excellent work/life balance. Join our team and be part of our story This individual will manage all aspects of servicing a robust book of middle market commercial P&C business, which includes churches, social services, contractors, HOAs/condos, retail and hospitality. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of processing and renewal of policies, endorsements, and rating and quoting of new and renewal business. Must also possess excellent customer service skills to answer policy and coverage related questions. Other duties include checking accuracy of policies, processing endorsements, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of correspondence, applications, quotes and marketing information in accordance with company workflows and procedures, and preparing proposals and issuing certificates of insurance, as needed.Skills:Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills to build client and carrier relationshipsHigh level of ethics, professionalism and integrityStrong attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate mathematical skills as they apply to rating and servicing policiesAbility to handle problem situations in a professional mannerAbility to multi-task, prioritize and manage workflows and handle competing demands and prioritiesAbility to take initiative, work independently and make sound decisions, following agency procedures, guidelines, and best practicesRequired Experience: At least 3 years independent agency experience preferredAgency management system experience required; Epic experience preferredMust have a current FL 2-20 P&C licenseProfessional designations, such as CIC desired, but not requiredLocation:St. Petersburg, FLHybrid work schedule available for qualified candidatesCompensation:Competitive compensation depending on applicable experiencePerks & Benefits:Generous employee benefits package which includes a robust wellness programEmployee Ownership OpportunitiesCareer progression opportunity - the potential for growth within the companyExcellent work/life balance
