Job Description:

Network Infrastructure Services Engineer II

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). An ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed here: Columbus, GA.

The Network Infrastructure Services Engineer II performs analysis and research of systems and networks. Reviews detailed business and technical requirements in order to recommend technical solutions.

How you will make an Impact:
  • Provides second level component design and simple solution design; creates solutions that solve randomly occurring problems.
  • Performs design tasks for systems and networks based on business requirements.
  • Designs standard and repetitive network and system upgrades.
  • Helps define the detailed architecture requirements for an application/technology to conform to the current architecture and standards.
  • Consults to projects and application support groups regarding architecture concerns.
  • Designs and configures vendor services orders for repetitive services and oversees implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires an AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 1 year related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:
  • Familiarity with 802.1x
  • Minimum of CCNA (preferred)
  • Experience with Cisco ISE
  • Experience with Cisco DNA
  • Experience with Cisco FMC
  • Experience with Wireless Networking
  • Layer 3 routing technologies (OSPFv2)
  • Break/fix duties for switches, routers, end user workstation setup, etc.
