Job Description:

As a Network Engineer Level 2, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our network. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues promptly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

- Perform network upgrades and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to services.

- Work with the engineering team to develop and implement network security protocols and policies.

- Provide technical support and guidance to Level 1 Network Engineers and other IT staff.

- Conduct network capacity planning and performance analysis to support business growth.

- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve network issues and implement new technologies.

- Maintain detailed network documentation and keep it up-to-date.

- Participate in on-call rotation for network support.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

- 3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an ISP environment.

- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs and Routing Protocols

- Experience with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and/or Fortinet.

- Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent are highly desirable.
