We are currently seeking a Merchant Lending Loan Specialist to join the Merchant Lending team. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination, preparation, presentment, and funding of merchant lending loan transactions. You will assist members and potential members in an accurate and timely manner, while delivering high-quality member service with their financial needs, loan documents, transactions and problem resolution.

To thrive in this role, you should have three to five years of financial service experience and a Two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study. This position is one part administrative and one part member service. This might be the role for you if you enjoy work requiring attention to detail, relationship building, problem solving, and interpersonal communication.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to assist members with their financial needs through a consultative needs-based approach.
  • Ability to identify and educate members on the most value-added products/services to meet individual needs specifically in regard to merchant loans.
  • Work with Credit Officers, merchants and members regarding questions, exceptions, documents, and problem resolution that are within authority level.
  • Ability to perform pre-funding and post-funding review of documents and procedures.
  • Review all loan documentation and supporting paperwork prior and after loan closings.
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department
  • Experience in multi-tasking, strong attention to detail, meeting deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.
