JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE:

Our clients include retail florists, supermarkets and event floral designers who purchase flowers and supplies in bulk, for their stores and projects. Kennicott Brothers is a B2B company; we do not sell to the public. Our goal at Kennicott Brothers is to make a difference for our customers. We assist in their success by providing exceptional customer service and the highest quality products sourced from over 20 countries around the world. As part of the Central Purchasing Office, you will assist with the supervision of the office staff - giving you the opportunity to make a difference.

The Buyer Ops team is part of the team to deliver supply chain excellence to our internal teams and customers. They are responsible for ensuring all paperwork related to purchasing and shipping is accurately completed on time. Attention to detail and managing multiple tasks are strengths.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Process and Manage Purchase Orders

o Manage standard orders, working with buyer to ensure all purchase orders are entered and reconciled

o Manage late orders, reconciling open product, airway bills, and truck manifest

o Manage imperfect orders, such as wrong quantity, damaged product, wrong location, wrong product

o Support sales with the problem solving of late orders

•Manage Accounts Payables and Credits

o Organize branch fresh AP paperwork

o Manage AP paperwork with fresh vendors

o Follow-up with vendors for imperfect orders

o Process and reconcile fresh vendor credits

•Communicate

o Coordinate with buyer and location ops on daily operations, including when trucks are ready to be received and management of product that is missing or not received

o Generate reports on workflow and open issues

o Participate in regular meetings with buyers and location ops on work status and issues

•Other duties as assigned
