SummaryThe Social Media and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for expanding the College's social media presence and supporting the Communications and Marketing team daily. This individual will also be responsible for gathering and analyzing key market information, liaising with advertisers, and identifying areas of improvement to increase engagement and interest.Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop strategies and tactics to market the College and create awareness.Create, maintain, and respond to multiple forms of social media.Collaborate on design and marketing projects from ideation to execution.Develop, write, and proof content across multiple platforms, including the website.Content management for all social media platforms.Staying up-to-date on the latest digital and social trends.Promote events on campus and student achievements.Construct, revise, and deliver internal electronic announcements via email systems. Assist with drafting/editing news pieces that promote the College.Assist with content management for the website and various internal digital platforms. Provide communication and basic support for incoming web requests. Generate metrics reports for social media and other platforms as needed. Monitor brand perceptions and daily social media mentions. Monitor newspaper articles. Train campus teams on social media best practices. Assist the campus store with various digital tasks and social projects.Serve as the lead for monthly campus-wide content strategy meetings. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Public Relations, or related field required.Marketing background is preferred but not required.Proficiency with MS Office products.Proficiency with Social Media platforms (i.e.: Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).Ability to work in a team environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must be self-motivated and be able to work autonomously.Experienced in iPhone/Android use for photo and video creation.Must be well organized, punctual, and have a strong attention to detail.
