Job Description

Under the direction of the Controller, performs accounting functions for subsidiaries of Spacesaver Corporation, including joint project billing/support, large project revenue/expense tracking, and month-end reporting. We are seeking an individual who enjoys working with multiple areas of the business and has a background in Accounting

Day in the life:

•Prepare monthly standard journal entries, miscellaneous journal entries, and account reconciliations.

•Participate in month-end close, utilizing the closing checklist to document and verify all steps are completed by the deadlines.

•Research and resolve project discrepancies. Work with appropriate Spacesaver employee or Area Contractor (AC) to obtain needed information to execute, bill, and close projects.

•Act as Project Manager (PM) or assist assigned manager with large GSA/ADS/phantom billing projects that are being run directly with the AC. Work with the Sales Team directly on project documentation/quote questions and the Contracts Team regarding specific reporting requirements. Communicate requirements to ACs when needed and assist ACs with project changes/questions.

Required Skills

What we are looking for:

•2-year Accounting Degree with 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent experience in finance and accounting.

•Experience in Construction or Project Accounting preferred

•Proficiency with Microsoft Office including strong Excel spreadsheet skills.

•Strong organizational, problem solving, analysis, and communication skills.

•Ability to meet deadlines and organize the efforts of a team to meet shared deadlines.

•Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional standards.
