Summary

The Training & Development Specialist receives weekly HR new hire and position change reports for upcoming new hires and position changes with their start dates to verify and communicate to the employee and their manager, timely activated user accounts and access information.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions
  • Receives weekly HR new hire and position change reports for upcoming new hires and position changes with their start dates to verify and communicate to the employee and their manager, timely activated user accounts and access information.
  • Collaborates with HR, IT, and new hire manager to resolve new hire equipment, accounts, access, scheduling, and other issues that arise.
  • Verifies active iTrain account each new hire Monday morning for new hires starting that day and troubleshoots with manager as needed.
  • Facilitates and supports requests for new employee test-out options as needed.
  • Generates weekly orientation reports for assigned areas and recommends corrective action related to timely orientation for new hires and position changes.
  • Tracks OASIS training completions and coordinates HCHB service code activation when requirements are met.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering manager and new hire requests and questions on a daily basis surrounding orientation and training for new hire and position changes including but not limited to: preparing for the new hire's first day, organized orientation activities and preceptors, identifying test out options, prescriptive learning assignments, and other components of new hire orientation and training.
  • Conducts training for managers in assigned area, following set protocols, designed to improve new hire orientation process efficiencies and new hire experience.
  • Contacts new hires via email at designated intervals to offer support, answer questions, and collaborate with managers, business partners, and preceptors on unmet needs.
  • Makes recommendations based on new hire orientation policies and procedures to effectively resolve problems or issues, and to effectively communicate those recommendations to the business partner and/or manager
  • Assists with various projects as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience

Formal Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1 year of HR related duties.

Education Desired
  • College education preferred.
  • Human Resources certification preferred.
Skill Requirements
  • Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and internet usage.
  • Must possess general clerical, organizational, time management, and written/oral communication skills.
