Job Title: Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours (30 hours YEP, 10-hour YPS)
Type: Hybrid Role

A. Overview

The Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator role is responsible for recruiting and enrolling clients for both the Young Empowered Parents (YEP) and Young Parent Support (YPS) programs. These programs promote improved outcomes for those who become young parents and mitigate the adverse consequences of early childbearing. Services provided through the programs will assist young parents in obtaining the necessary skills and knowledge to be competent parents, live independently, lead productive lives, and ensure the healthy growth and development of their children. The Recruitment and Enrollment Coordinator will work in the community to spread the word, recruit and ultimately enroll clients with a Case Manager to service the client throughout the program.

B. Duties and Responsibilities

•Responsible for the recruitment, enrollment and basic intake of all eligible program participants.

•Assist with training new case managers.

•Provide team support.

•Enroll and assign new clients to Case Managers to ensure that a full caseload is maintained.

•Maintain an active waiting list.

•Build community connections to foster growth within the programs.

•Serve as a liaison between community partners to connect with potential clients to educate them about the programs available.

•Communicate with referral sources.

•Conduct recruiting presentations and enrollment events as needed to promote the program in the community.

•Collaborate with community partners, client families, and co-workers to create recruiting events and opportunities to build the program.

•Keep an updated of all recruitment activities.

•Act as a resource for new Case Managers, teaching and showing new employees how to document visits, track clients, and keep up to date records.

•Act as back-up Case Manager in the event of a leave or long-term absence of a team member.

•Assist the Program Director as needed.

•Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an associate's degree or advanced degree in human services or related field of study.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working with low-income, vulnerable families.
  • Demonstrated experience in human service program/project implementation and oversight.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to multi-task.
  • Experienced, thoughtful, responsible individual capable of working independently, or within a team structure to provide team leadership, support, and facilitate group processes.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office products with the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed to fulfill program needs.
  • Knowledge of family systems theory, personality theory, family development, group dynamics and learning theory.
  • Skilled at engaging others, and willing to work with parents, families and youth as full partners
  • Experience working collaboratively with state and federal agencies, child and family-serving organizations, schools, health care providers and other community agencies.
  • Experience and competency working with diverse families and cultures.
  • Knowledge about Lawrence community is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

•This is a 40 hour per week, non-exempt benefited position with a pay range $25-$27 per hour, commensurate upon experience.
