Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for coordination of pastoral support services to patients and families. Provides direct pastoral services to patients and families. Coordinates spiritual support with requested religious affiliations for patients and families. Completes and prepares documentation from clinical contacts and patients. Inputs clinical data into MISYS database. Maintains updated intake reports.

Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform Islamic End of Life ministry.
  • Bachelor's diploma from an accredited college
  • Divinity Degree required
  • Minimum of one year experience post graduate in a healthcare setting
  • Word and Excel
  • Valid New York State Drivers license preferred
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent communication, listening and organizational skills
  • Strong teaching and public speaking abilities
  • Ability to input clinical data proficiently
