Paraplanner/Client Services Associate

A financial management firm in Greenville is seeking a Paraplanner/Client Services Associate to support their team in delivering client relationship support by managing, analyzing, and organizing client data. They assist in preparing preliminary financial plans, developing portfolio recommendations, and creating client deliverables. Additionally, they help in preparing presentation materials and administrative tasks for client meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in onboarding new clients, gathering necessary information such as brokerage statements and financial data for accurate financial plans.
- Analyze investible assets, assess return potential and suitability, and prepare initial financial planning recommendations for advisor review.
- Evaluate plans, identify outcomes, and provide advisory recommendations.
- Create visual aids like charts and graphs for client meetings.
- Develop portfolio and product recommendations aligned with client risk tolerance and financial goals.
- Maintain client communication throughout the financial planning process, responding to inquiries and providing account information as needed.
- Update client information for review meetings and participate in client meetings when required.
- Collaborate with Senior Paraplanners and Advisors to educate clients on financial strategies.
- Stay updated on investment and retirement strategies to support long-term financial success.
- Ensure client needs are met through proactive service and timely communication.
- Manage client documentation and files accurately.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent financial planning coursework.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in financial planning within a Financial Services environment preferred.
- Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP) designation preferred.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with financial planning software.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent CRM.
- Self-motivated with strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to problem-solve and set priorities effectively.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative work approach.
- Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods or special projects as needed.
Compensation:
- Salary starting at $55,000 with bonuses typically reaching total compensation of $60,000
