Our Florida offices are actively seeking a licensed Environmental Engineer to join our team-oriented setting and advance their career. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, team-oriented, and humble. As an Engineer, you will provide engineering and design support within our existing environmental services practice, which focuses on assessment, remediation design, and compliance. Your potential projects could involve devising solutions for stormwater, soil management, dewatering, compliance, permitting, construction, operations, and environmental monitoring. You can be hybrid in any Florida SCS office or remote work in Florida only will be considered. How you can make an impact Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and practices in environmental services and related fields. As an Environmental Engineer at SCS, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects are designed and delivered to meet our client's goals, making a direct impact on our success. Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget. Oversee and develop lower-level staff to advance their knowledge and career path. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and develop a detailed project plan to track progress. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications. Make independent decisions on engineering or scientific problems and methods, plan and coordinate work, and represent us at meetings and conferences. Office-based tasks, including GIS, mathematical calculations, and report writing. Business development, including proposal preparation, meeting with clients, and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows. Receive technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or similar engineering major is required. Minimum of 5 years of relevant environmental experience required, including remediation design, Florida regulations, and standard operating procedures. E.I.T required. P.E. registration or the ability to obtain it within six months is preferred. A valid driver's license with a driving record in good standing is required.
