Human Resource Manager . This position manages the day-to-day operations of the human resource functions and duties. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level. The position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, interviewing, benefits functions, and employment law compliance. This position will also provide payroll support. Duties include but are not limited to: Maintains knowledge of the legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures that policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant. Monitors the performance evaluation program and revises, as necessary. Conducts recruitment efforts for personnel, coordinates recruitment and hiring processes, writes and/or assists in the development of interview questions, creates job postings, and evaluates applicants for eligibility. Compile necessary pre-hire background checks, credit checks, and bond checks. Conducts new hire on-boarding. Fields and investigates employee issues, assists supervisors in writing performance development plans, facilitates counseling, and conducts exit interviewing, as needed. Establishes and maintains personnel files and other HR records. Assists with drafting and revising human resources related policies and procedures. Performs all payroll-related functions and ensures information is accurate and timely. Performs all benefits-related functions including new enrollments, open enrollment, and updating the payroll system with benefits related additions or changes. Candidates must have knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures; be able to ensure organizational privacy and confidentiality; and must be self-directed and take proactive initiative to assist others. Candidates must have a minimum of two year’s direct human resource experience.
