At Mercy University, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Associate Director of Human Resources to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for overseeing employment and recruitment efforts for staff and faculty, including the development and maintenance of applicant tracking and onboarding systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the recruitment and staffing function for the University, prioritizing goals and removing barriers in executing employment-related functions.
  • Develop concepts, techniques, and standards for the delivery of HR services related to employment, talent acquisition, and compensation.
  • Oversee and manage Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and onboarding systems, ensuring ongoing maintenance and upgrading.
  • Provide support and training to hiring managers and others on the use of ATS and other employment-related systems.
  • Responsible for offboarding of employees, including dissemination, collection, and review of exit interviews, notification of end of employment to all other appropriate offices.
  • Build, inspire, lead, and develop employee base through effective recruiting, training, coaching, and communication.
  • Build strong recruitment programs, taking proactive steps to ensure a robust talent pool through various candidate search mediums.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or business/management-related field required. Master's degree in human resources management a plus.
  • Human Resources certification preferred.
  • At least three to five years of human resources management experience, preferably in the higher education field.
  • Proficient in various ATS, Onboarding, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong influencing/negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
  • Able to have constructive conversations with hiring managers and college leaders.
