POSITION SUMMARY

Elektrofi is seeking a motivated and driven human resources professional to join our biotech company as an Associate Director of Human Resources to support the development of the novel Elektrofi formulation platform. The individual will join a growing, multidisciplinary organization of scientists/engineers and industry professionals. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping Elektrofi's growth trajectory. You'll be responsible for streamlining and managing critical HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), and acting as an HR Business Partner. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is passionate about contributing to the success of a cutting-edge platform technology biotech.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be responsible for the following five areas and associated tasks:
  1. Talent Acquisition Management:
    • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, collaborating with hiring managers to identify top talent.
    • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract diverse candidates.
    • Drive recruitment metrics and continuously improve the candidate experience.
    • Develop and implement employee onboarding and new employee experience
  2. HRIS Oversight:
    • Research and implement new systems and/or processes to meet needs/high growth environment
    • Manage and optimize our HRIS system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system functionality.
    • Provide training and support to employees on HRIS usage.
  3. HR Business Partnership:
    • Serve as a partner to business leaders, understanding their needs and aligning HR initiatives.
    • Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
    • Support special projects related to growth initiatives, mergers, and acquisitions.
  4. Compliance and Policy Development:
    • Stay informed about labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Research and implement HR policies and procedures with CHRO.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements. (e.g. employment, immigration, risk management)
  5. Employee Relations:
    • Handle employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
    • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
    • Leads employee engagement committee, employee-to-employee recognition programs/systems

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required, master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in a project leadership role.
  • Biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience required.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Learning Management systems for smaller companies with knowledge of Workday or other large company system (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and organization skills - ability to translate HR concepts and programs for multiple audiences.
