Title: Executive Chef - Mount Vernon City School District Requisition #: 502861 Location: Mount Vernon, NY, US, 10552 Short Description Aramark Student Nutrition provides food and nutrition services to over 350 school districts in the U.S. It offers public and private education institutions a variety of dining options including breakfast and lunch programs, after-school snacks, catering, nutrition education, and retail operations. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $75,000 to $80,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Job Description The Executive Chef is a management position overseeing chef managers as well as hourly culinary staff, responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Job Responsibilities Ensures culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework Ensures proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items Manages a culinary team, including chef managers and hourly staff Train and manage culinary and kitchen employees Coach employees by creating a shared understanding about what needs to be achieved Reward and recognize employees Plan and execute team meetings and daily huddles Complete and maintain all staff records Develop and maintain effective client and guest rapport Interact directly with guests daily Aggregate and communicate regional culinary and ingredient trends Responsible for delivering food and labor targets Consistent focus on margin improvement Ensure efficient execution and delivery of all culinary products Maintain integrity of the standard Aramark food offer Full compliance with Operational Excellence fundamentals Understand end to end supply chain and procurement process Full knowledge and implementation of the Food Framework Ensure accuracy of estimated food consumption Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance Ensure compliance with Aramark SAFE food and Quality Assurance standards Comply with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers.
