Summary Description of the Position:

Kassouf & Co. seeks a talented and critical-thinking individual to join our tax team. You will be a part of our fast-paced hands on learning environment where you will gain a solid skill set that will help advance your career in accounting. As you grow with the firm ongoing opportunities and increased responsibilities will be given and expected.

Responsibilities:

Prepare complex tax returns for businesses including, but not limited to, S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, non-profits. Review the preparation of income tax returns prepared by Staff I or Staff II. Assist with the coordination of engagements including client contact, staff requirements, documentation, and timing. Work with more experienced team members to research and solve difficult tax issues to develop the best solutions for clients. Supervise activities of less experienced staff while working on special projects. Begin building strong client relationships to be viewed as a trusted advisor. Obtain skills to promote the firm, attract new clients, and expand business with existing clients. Expected Qualifications are as follows:

Education and Credentials:

BA or BS degree in Accounting or a related field, from an accredited college/university. Active CPA License. Experience:

2-5 years of public accounting experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Good judgment and professional skepticism. Excellent analysis and observation skills. Ability to work effectively with co-workers, staff, and clients. Knowledge of accounting software packages and MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
