Purpose of this Position: Working with the Corporate Accounting group, the Senior Accountant has responsibility for supporting overflow work in accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing. Primary responsibilities include processing payables, billing, processing credit memos and entering deposits. Sales tax, journal entries and general ledger maintenance as well as recording financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner and administering approved accounting practices throughout the company to ensure financial and operating results accurately reflect the conditions of the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Complete accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
  • Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and reconciliation procedures
  • Responsible for accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
  • Create visualizations that convey accurate financial views of Company performance
  • Assist in preparation of accurate and timely monthly financial statements and budgets
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Lead the preparation of regulatory filings and tax returns
Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Previous experience in accounting
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
  • Detail and deadline oriented
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • NetSuite knowledge a plus
  • Sales tax experience a plus
