As a Senior Accountant, you will:

  • Manage and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing detailed financial reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide insights into financial performance to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax accountants during audits and filings.
  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and develop skills for future leadership roles.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with finance and operations

To be considered you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience working with external auditors and tax accountants.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and adaptive environment

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
